Content

The course focuses on the human dimensions of climate change impacts on land and water sectors in Europe. It provides a mix of lectures on key climate change impacts and adaptation combined with student exercises to develop and apply environmental change scenarios. The excercise is based on developing scenario storylines of future socio-economic development and applying these in combination with climate change scenarios to derive quantitative impact projections. The quantification, for a range of land and water sector indicators, will be based on a user-friendly regional, integrated assessment model (the ClimSAVE IAP). Students will present the results of their scenario storylines and impact projects to the rest of the group.
